The Round Pond is on the west end of Kensington Gardens, near to Kensington Palace.  The pond is popular with tourists, attracted here by the swans and other birds, and as a place to play with model boats.  The pond is about 5m deep at the center and actually contains various fish, including three-spined sticklebacks, roach, gudgeon and eels.
It is the home of the oldest model yacht club in the country; the Model Yacht Sailing Association (Est. 1876) and the London Model Yacht Club (Est. 1884).
